Origin & Founding Intent
Started with the instinct that images should feel like frames from a film.
JarinV was founded on a simple refusal: to make images that looked like everything else. Photography that felt flat, commercial work that looked like stock, campaigns that could have been made by anyone — none of it felt like enough. The house was built to go further.
From the beginning, every assignment was treated with a director's eye. Light was constructed. Mood was deliberate. Subjects were given space to inhabit a world — not just a frame. That cinematic instinct became the foundation of everything that followed.
Over a decade, that instinct matured into a full creative practice. What started as editorial photography evolved into a house capable of leading multi-day commercial productions, directing talent-driven campaigns, and developing original visual work at the intersection of photography and film.

Ridley Scott Associates didn't become one of the world's most respected production companies by making generic work. They built a house around a singular creative vision — then expanded it into a company capable of taking on the world's biggest briefs.
JarinV operates on that same principle. Justin Viens's eye is at the center — but the company is not a personal portfolio. Start with the world, not the deliverables. Every project begins before the camera is ever raised — with tone, intention, and point of view. What does this work need to feel like? What world does it live in? What will make it irreplaceable? Those questions are answered first. The deliverables follow.

Over more than a decade, he has built a visual practice defined by cinematic instinct and an uncompromising approach to craft — one that has grown from editorial portraiture into a full commercial and directing-led production capability.
JarinV carries his eye at its center, but it was never built to stay personal. The company is structured around a longer ambition: to become a serious creative production house capable of taking on major commercial briefs, developing original film projects, and building the kind of partnerships that sustain decades of ambitious work.
